A full year of exploration on how to live in tandem with the seasons.
Join in season by season, for a year long 4-part exploration on how to get in step with Ma Nature + her innate wisdom.
This is a full year-long exploration of eating with the seasons that came out of a private series commissioned by a dear friend. It’s a series of classes, recipes + ideas based on the brilliant book Full Moon Feast by Jessica Prentice.
This book (and series!) is an invitation to tune in to the rhythms of the seasons, an invitation to connect to our local foodscapes + landscapes, and listen in to what it is our bodies need at this time. It is food + wisdom shared through generations, tapping in to the traditional wisdom of our elders. It is also about celebrating the bounty of Ma Nature in all of her glory, inviting you to connect intimately to the land and the spirit of the land in your geographical area.
“Ten times a day something happens to me like this - some strengthening throb of amazement - some good sweet empathic ping and swell. This is the first, the wildest and the wisest thing I know: that the soul exists and is built entirely out of attentiveness. “ - Mary Oliver
It is this attentiveness we will develop, along with a deep dive into the foods on which to focus, the flavours to chase, and the cuppas to brew to live in tandem with the traditional ways our elders would have done.
Each season, we'll be diving deep for six Tuesday evenings in a row:
Week 1 - 1 hour; focus on foods for the season, organ/system to concentrate on. 3 recipes.
Week 2 - 30 minutes; Teas, roots, shoots + flavours to focus on for the season. 1 elixir recipe.
Week 3 - 30 minutes; Lifestyle ideas to support you in this season. 1 recipe.
Week 4 - 30 minutes; 1x Batch cooking item for the season.
Week 5 - 30 minutes; Superfoods for the season. 1 recipe.
Week 6 - 60 minutes; A cooking demo on a seasonal special traditional foods skill. 1 recipe.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:
"You taught me to cook with purpose and that I can not tell you what that has done…Love that! To find the joy in the process and leave behind the resentment, guilt and chore of feeding myself and those I love." — Shannon, in an earlier in-person iteration of this program
